Still On Probation: If you are currently still on probation, you will probably need to file a petition with the court to terminate probation early along with the petition for an expungement.
TERMINATING PROBATION EARLY
The petition for early termination of probation requires a special need. This includes a pending job, the potential loss of a job, or a pending enlistment with the armed forces.
If you have complied with all the requirements of probation early without any violations, a judge may consider an early termination of probation.
This means that you can “get off probation” before the term expires. Otherwise, once the term of probation is completed, you may file a petition to “clean” or “expunge” your criminal record.
